Better Than Most Things Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box milk chocolate cake mix, made per the instructions on the box
  • 1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 12.25 oz jar of caramel flavored topping
  • 1 8 oz container whipped topping
  • 1 8 oz bag of heath milk chocolate toffee bits

Instructions

Bake 1 box of milk chocolate cake mix per the instructions on the box. Use a 9×13 baking dish.

As soon as the cake comes out of the oven poke holes all over on the top. I usually use a chop stick. You can use a fork, a skinny wooden spoon handle, anything that will make small holes in the top.

DO NOT USE YOUR FINGERS, YOU WILL BURN YOURSELF! I’ve done it.

Once you have the top covered in holes slowly dump the contents the caramel flavored topping jar onto the cake.

Once you have emptied the caramel jar and the caramel has started to soak into the cake do the same with the contents of the can of sweetened condensed milk.

Let this cool completely. This usually takes 2-3 hours. You can throw it in the refrigerator if you would like to speed this process up a little.

Once the cake is completely cool spread the entire 8 oz container of whipped topping over the cake.

Top with heath bits. I generally just use the whole bag but I’ll let you decide how much you would like to use.

Serves 12, or 1. I’ll let you decide.

I got this picture off of google. My toddler may have smashed the top of my cake before I could get a picture. It still tasted good though.
