- 12 baby bella mushrooms
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, finely diced
- 1/2 lb bacon, finely diced
- 8oz cream cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Wash your mushrooms
Remove the stems and grills from the mushrooms.
Place the mushroom caps in a baking dish
Finely dice the mushroom stems and grills
Add the diced mushroom bits to a frying pan
Finely dice 1/2 medium yellow onion, add to frying pan with mushroom bits
Finely dice 1/2 pound of bacon, add to frying pan with mushroom bits and onion.
Fry bacon, onion, and mushroom bits on medium to low heat until the bacon is crispy and the mushrooms and onions are soft.
To the pan ad 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Mix well and continue to cook on low heat for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and mix in 8oz of cream cheese.
Divide filling amongst the 12 mushroom caps.
Bake at 400 degrees for 30-45 minutes until mushrooms are soft.
