I think this is just a thing in the small town that I am from.

I tried looking it up and I was not able to find anything that resembled this meal. However, it is something our community celebrates annually and a dinner combination that I’ve been eating my entire life.

I’m going to make this go viral. Just kidding probably not.

I do not have a recipe for sausage patties because I didn’t make my own sausage for this. I just bought sausage and made it into patties. You could buy premade sausage patties if that’s what you fancy. I do have intentions of making my own sausage at some point but that point is not right now.

I didn’t make a recipe for mashed potatoes. I guess I can make one some time, I just usually make it until it looks right. I’ll work on that for next time.

I do have a biscuit recipe that I will eventually share. However, on this specific day I just used the frozen buttermilk biscuits. They are pretty good.

The green beans I generally serve are just southern style green beans. You can find that recipe here.

I prefer the vinegary coleslaw but my husband prefers the creamy kind so I made both. You can find the creamy recipe here and the vinegary recipe here. I actually have several coleslaw recipes that I make but these are just the plain jane recipes.
